We are living in Brøndby near Copenhagen. Our dogs are a natural part of our family. It is very important for us that they thrive and we do a lot to ensure their good health. Although the English Bulldog typical is a lazy breed it means a lot to us to keep our dogs in good shape both physical and mentally.

We are a family of 4,our two sons Tim and Luca my husband Holger and myself Sascha. I have been growing up with Newfoundlands. The dogs and the dog sport has always been a part of my life. I participated in my first official obedience contest in the age of 8 and passed, and since I have won several gold medals. I have also participated in the show-ring from a very young age and I have not only showcased our own dogs but also others.

It took only one year after I moved away from home before my husband and I bought our first dog a Rottweiler. Shortly hereafter an Old English sheepdog joined the family. We used a lot of time on training and having a lot of fun with them.

After the birth of our sons the time for training and grooming of our dogs were limited. We decided that when the time was coming for the next dog in the family we would like one shorthaired, medium size (not to small), robust dog with a moderate need for exercise. Therefore the obvious choice English Bulldog.

We started to look for just the right Bulldog. We were in no hurry but had heard that the latency were up to one year for a Bulldog with pedigree. By coincidence we heard that Kennel Arpege’s had an one year old bitch. We contacted Jytte and Jørgen and made an agreement to come by their place and have a look.

From the very first moment we saw her we had no doubt she was the dog for us. Arpege’s Queen Ida. She came home with us on probation but she was here to stay.

Ida has got her first litter in Apege’s name. From this litter we keept a bitch Arpege’s Twinkle twinkle little star (Tammi).

This was our start with English Bulldogs.
